Online Driving Courses: FAQs

Since social distancing and WFH were declared as the most effective way of being safe from the Coronavirus, most people have avoided leaving their homes unnecessarily. This has disrupted most social activities and led to the indefinite postponement of activities that were once given no second thought to at all, such as driving lessons.

However, online driving lessons have merged as a new and just as effective alternative to reinforce the practical driving skills you already have. Champions Driving School is offering online driving courses on their website to make it easier for new learners to stay on track.

Check out these FAQs regarding their online driving courses if you’re a prospective learner.

Are the Driving Courses Authentic/Certified?

Yes. Champions Driving School (CDS) has partnered with Aceable to offer these online driving courses. They are state-approved by the DPS and TDLR; therefore, they're as legitimate as any in-person driving lessons.

Do I Need A PC Unit to Take These Courses?

No. These courses are incredibly user-friendly and practical. You can complete these driving courses on any device such as your phone, tablet, or computer. They’re aimed at providing maximum convenience to new learners.

Is There Only One Type of Course?

No, CDS is offering multiple types of courses for their clients. They’re offering both instructor-led and parent-led courses for new learners. They’ve also introduced an 18+ adult course that can be taken by anyone between the age of 18–24 years.

Their defensive driving training is a short six-hour course, approved by the Texan court. It’s the shortest driving course allowed by law and can help you dismiss driving tickets for when you’re practicing defensive driving.

What’s the Difference Between Parent-led and Instructor-led Courses?

The parent-led course can be taken by any teen that has an adult driving instructor. It’s cheaper than the instructor-led course since you can save the cost of hiring a professional instructor. Tip: Be sure to check if your parent is eligible to be your parent instructor!

If you choose the instructor-led course, you will be provided a certificate to transfer to CDS for the in-car portion. You’ll need to finish the 32 hours of classroom instruction online and then register to take the 14 hours in the car with Champions Driving School’s professional instructors.

The variety of services being offered by Champions Driving School is to maximize their clients' ease. Through all their online courses, you will be receiving Allstate Roadside Assistance for six months and have the opportunity to take the DPS road test at one of Champions Driving School’s Greater Houston-area testing sites.

Champions Driving School is offering discount rates on their online driving courses. Visit their website to learn more and get registered for a course that suits you best!
